OUR STORY
Andrew Seddon began working with dogs far from London, training sled dogs above the Arctic Circle across Finnish Lapland, Norway, and Sweden. Those early years shaped a calm, thoughtful approach grounded in trust, patience, and a deep understanding of dogs as individuals.

After returning to London to train at drama school, Andrew began dog walking alongside his studies. What started as a practical solution gradually became his life’s work. Through personal recommendation alone, his practice grew into private daycare and boarding, built on familiarity, consistency, and long-term relationships.

Now working between London and Buckinghamshire, Andrew takes on only a small number of dogs each year. He specialises in dogs who need extra care and reassurance, including those with separation anxiety, resource guarding behaviours, or limited confidence around other dogs. Each dog is supported at their own pace, with an approach tailored carefully to their needs.

A number of Andrew’s clients have been with him for nearly 11 years, in some cases across multiple dogs within the same family. He works with a discreet group of households, including those with public-facing lives where trust and privacy matter deeply. In over a decade of professional dog care, Andrew has never taken a sick day—a quiet reflection of the consistency and commitment he brings to every dog in his care.
So with this knowledge, unusual skillset and an absolute love of dogs Andrew decided to put it to the test in Hanwell and established Hanwell Hounds.
Now having relocated to Buckinghamshire he is continuing to maintain his existing loyal clients from Hanwell as well as welcoming new dogs from Buckinghamshire and their owners to his unique services.
